TAMEST Forum on the Research Mission of Universities

The TAMEST Forum on The Research Mission of Universities was held at The University of Texas at Austin on May 19, 2011. The forum brought together leaders from industry and academia to address the critical importance of scientific research in our public universities. It included presentations and a panel discussion with prominent leaders from industry and academia. The panel highlighted the complementary nature of research and teaching and the attendant benefits of university research to industry and society.
