Protégé Program

To date, the protégé program has helped more than 600 professionals attend the TAMEST conference to engage in critical discussions and networking that will help to advance their careers.

Regional Receptions & Tours

TAMEST hosted two regional receptions and tours showcasing the remarkable research taking place at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Both events convened TAMEST members and the wider research community to explore and enjoy an evening of celebrating collaborative work.

New Members

In 2019, TAMEST welcomed 16 new members to our organization who were elected to one of the National Academies. Of the 16 newly-elected members, eight were recruited to Texas.

This work matters. From celebrating the 15th year of TAMEST’s protégé program and welcoming 16 new members to conducting a listening tour across our 18 member institutions and holding two regional receptions and tours, TAMEST reached many milestones in 2019.  Your support of TAMEST allows us to continue to elevate our events, recognize rising stars in the research community and support research initiatives while increasing our reach as Texas’ premier scientific organization.
