TAMEST and UT Southwestern Networking Reception and Simulation Center Tour

UT Southwestern Medical Center will host TAMEST members and others in the research community for a networking reception and tour of their new cutting-edge simulation center on the evening of September 24, 2019.

“This event is an opportunity to not only showcase the advancements taking place at our member institutions, but to gather our most gifted minds in the region together in one place,” said Dr. Amelie G. Ramirez, board president of TAMEST.

Attendees will tour UT Southwestern’s 49,000 square foot Simulation Center, one of the most advanced in the nation. The center replicates and creates virtual environments for hands-on training for the health care professionals of tomorrow. Attendees will explore multiple training environments ranging from a labor and delivery room to a laparoscopic training and suturing lab. A networking reception will follow the tour.

“The Simulation Center is on the leading edge of innovative learning so it is a phenomenal space to stimulate conversation about the innovations taking place in our state among the thought leaders in academia and industry,” said Dr. Claire Aldridge, Associate Vice President for Commercialization and Business Development at UT Southwestern Medical Center and TAMEST 2020 Annual Conference Program Committee member.

UT Southwestern Medical Center is ranked the #1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and includes more than 25 TAMEST members among its faculty. To register for the TAMEST and UT Southwestern Networking Reception and Simulation Center Tour, click here.
