TAMEST Annual Fund: Year in Review
In 2025, TAMEST reached several significant milestones, further strengthening Texas as a premier hub of innovation and research. This year’s accomplishments are vital steps towards our shared mission of establishing a stronger research ecosystem in Texas.
2025 was a year of success:
• TAMEST launched a seventh category of the Hill Prizes in Artificial Intelligence, resulting in $3.5 million in annual research funding and over $1 million in additional ad hoc support now being awarded by Lyda Hill Philanthropies through the Hill Prizes.
• Three Past Edith and Peter O’Donnell Award Recipients were elected to one of the National Academies. Since 2006, 18 O’Donnell Awards recipients have been elected to one of the National Academies and six have been elected to multiple academies.
• Our 2025 Annual Meeting saw a record number of TAMEST Protégés participate in the conference and poster challenge, with new recognition and networking opportunities added to the program.
We need your continued partnership to continue to propel Texas forward. Please join TAMEST in advancing research in Texas by making a contribution to the Annual Fund.
